Nieuwkoop Blacksmith Museum. Where fire, iron, and history come together Discover the rich history of Nieuwkoop and its blacksmiths! The Nieuwkoop blacksmiths experienced their heyday in the 18th and 19th centuries. Our museum captures this fascinating history and gives you a unique insight into the lives and work of the blacksmiths and their families. What can you expect? Live demonstration: Watch a blacksmith in action, forging according to traditional methods. Try your hand at blacksmithing: If you dare, you can try your hand at blacksmithing under the guidance of the blacksmith! Guided tour: Discover the living area, which also serves as an exhibition space, with the showroom, the living room, and the original box bed. Opening hours: Every Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the last Sunday of the month from March to October from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. By appointment: Other days are also possible for groups of 8 to 25 people.
