The Southern California Railway Museum in Perris offers a comprehensive look at the region's railway history. Visitors can explore a large collection of restored trains and trolleys, many of which are operational. The museum provides train rides on weekends, allowing guests to experience vintage rail travel firsthand. The outdoor exhibits showcase various locomotives, passenger cars, and other railway equipment, giving insight into different eras of rail transportation.

The museum's strength lies in its hands-on experiences and the ability to see historic trains up close. Many visitors appreciate the knowledgeable volunteers who share detailed information about the exhibits. The train rides are particularly popular, especially among families and railway enthusiasts.

However, some visitors note that the museum's outdoor nature can make it less enjoyable during hot weather. A few reviewers mention that some areas of the museum could benefit from better maintenance or updates. The remote location in Perris can also be a drawback for some, as it requires a dedicated trip.

Overall, the Southern California Railway Museum provides an educational and nostalgic experience for those interested in railway history. It's particularly appealing to families with children and train enthusiasts, but may have limited appeal for those without a specific interest in railways.
