In 2015, the Stenersen Museum was closed, and its collection was merged with that of the Munch Museum. The combined collection is now housed at the Munch Museum's new location in the Bjรธrvika district, near the harbor. The Stenersen Museum regularly hosted exhibitions featuring works from both national and international artists. In recent years, the museum has showcased works from a diverse range of artists including Georges Adรฉagbo from Ivory Coast, William Kentridge from South Africa, Gregory Crewdson and Roger Ballen from the USA, Marina Abramoviฤ from Yugoslavia, Yoko Ono from the USA, and Wangechi Mutu from Kenya.
