The Sternberg Museum of Natural History in Hays, Kansas, offers an educational experience focused on the natural history of the Great Plains region. Visitors appreciate the museum's extensive fossil collection, particularly the impressive dinosaur exhibits. The centerpiece is often noted to be the fish-within-a-fish fossil, which many find intriguing.

The museum's interactive displays and dioramas receive positive feedback for bringing prehistoric landscapes to life. Many visitors find the exhibits informative and well-presented, suitable for both adults and children. The museum's size is considered adequate for a thorough visit without being overwhelming.

However, some visitors mention that certain areas of the museum could benefit from updates or renovations. A few reviews suggest that the admission price might be a bit high for the overall experience. Additionally, some patrons note that more interactive elements or guided tours could enhance the visit.
