The Stringed Instruments Museum, located in Tebosa, Braga, is owned by the renowned craftsman Domingos Machado. This unique museum was officially opened to the public on September 22, 1995.

Collection at the Stringed Instruments Museum

The museum boasts a vast collection of stringed instruments, including variations that have evolved over the centuries since the medieval period. All the instruments on display were built from scratch by Domingos Machado and are fully operational. Visitors can also explore extensive documentation about his work, artworks, and photos.

Visiting the Artisan Workshop

In addition to the museum's collection, visitors have the unique opportunity to visit the artisan workshop where Domingos Machado crafts his stringed instruments.
