The TCDD Open Air Steam Locomotive Museum is situated in the Maltepe district of Çankaya, Ankara. It is conveniently located adjacent to the Celâl Bayar Boulevard of Ankara Station, making it easily accessible for tourists.

History and Ownership of the Museum

The museum is owned and was established by the Turkish State Railways. It presents the history of steam locomotives, offering a unique insight into the evolution of railway transportation in Turkey.

Relocation of the Museum's Locomotives

On December 5, 2013, the museum's steam locomotives were collectively relocated to the TCDD Behiç Bey Facilities. This move was necessitated by the construction of the station as part of the High-Speed Train and Başkentray project.
