Planets TOKYO DMM.com is a unique art installation that utilizes digital technology. It was created by the collaborative efforts of TeamLab and DMM.com. The installation is situated in Tokyo, specifically at 6-chome, Toyosu, Koto-ku. This location is easily accessible and offers a unique experience for tourists interested in art and technology.
The design of Planets TOKYO DMM.com is centered around the concept of "Body Immersive". This means that visitors are not just observers, but become part of the artwork itself. The boundary between the body and the artwork is blurred, creating a unique experience where the distances between oneself and one's environment are dissolved. This immersive experience offers a new way to interact with art and explore one's relationship with their surroundings.
In July 2021, after three years of operation, Planets TOKYO DMM.com expanded with the inauguration of a new space known as the "Garden Zone". This addition includes two sub-spaces or gardens. One is an orchid greenhouse, where a large number of orchids bloom and are suspended in the air. The other is a moss universe, featuring sculpted modules reminiscent of eggs. These new spaces add to the immersive experience and offer visitors more to explore.

TeamLab Planets TOKYO DMM.com offers an immersive digital art experience that blurs the line between viewer and exhibit. Located in Koto, Japan, this unconventional museum features large-scale interactive installations that engage multiple senses. Visitors walk through water, explore mirrored spaces, and interact with responsive digital projections. The museum's strengths lie in its innovative use of technology to create a transformative environment and its ability to evoke wonder and contemplation. Many guests appreciate the unique, hands-on nature of the exhibits and the opportunity to become part of the art itself. The changing seasonal installations keep the experience fresh for repeat visitors. However, some visitors note that the museum can get crowded, which may detract from the immersive experience. Additionally, the ticket price is considered high by some, although many feel it's justified by the quality of the experience. The museum may not appeal to those who prefer traditional art forms or have mobility issues, as some installations require walking through water or on uneven surfaces. Overall, TeamLab Planets offers a distinctive and memorable art experience that pushes the boundaries of traditional museums.
