The Technisches Eisenbahnmuseum Lieboch (TEML) is a railway museum that was established in 2004. It was set up by the Styrian municipality of Lieboch, the Graz-Köflacher Bahn und Busbetrieb GmbH (GKB), and the Styrian Railway Friends (StEF) in the former heating house of the Wieserbahn at Lieboch station. This museum is a testament to the rich railway history of the region and offers a unique insight into the evolution of railway technology.
The museum's concept revolves around a permanent exhibition that tells the story of the historical Graz-Köflacher Bahn, now known as the Graz-Köflacher Bahn und Busbetrieb GmbH. Among the permanent exhibits are the steam locomotive 56.3115 and several historical wagons. These exhibits provide a tangible connection to the past, allowing visitors to get a sense of the technological advancements that have taken place in the railway industry over the years.
In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum also hosts special exhibitions. One such exhibition was "With Full Steam to the South", which was held in 2007 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Vienna-Trieste Southern Railway. These special exhibitions provide an opportunity for visitors to delve deeper into specific aspects of railway history and technology.
