The Fishermen's Heritage Centre and its collection

The Fishermen's Heritage Centre
Source

The Centre is housed in restored fishing sheds scenically situated at the top of the Fishermen's Slope, still used by fishing boats. It describes the lives led by the fishing community of Sheringham from the 19th century to the present day and contains the preserved lifeboat, the Henry Ramey Upcher, built in 1894 and presented to the fishing community by the Upcher family of Sheringham Hall. This was known as the Fishermen's Lifeboat and saved many lives.
