Sir Alfred Munnings (1878-1959) was a successful, yet controversial, artist whose career spanned almost 70 years. He was not only a major figure in the great tradition of British equestrian art but also celebrated for his depictions of scenes from English rural life. Visitors to the Munnings Art Museum at his former home, Castle House, can explore the life and work of this prolific East Anglian artist through a series of curated displays, selected from the museum’s collection of his work.
