Truist Park, previously known as SunTrust Park, is a baseball stadium situated in Cumberland, within the metropolitan region of Atlanta and Cobb County, Georgia, USA. The stadium, which has a seating capacity of 51,084, began construction on September 16, 2014, and officially opened on February 24, 2017. It is the home ground for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball.
The first match played at Truist Park by its resident club, the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball, was a pre-season match against the New York Yankees on March 31, 2017. However, the first regular season match that was open to the public was played on April 14, 2017, between the Braves and the San Diego Padres.
In January 2020, following the announcement of the new name of Truist Financial, the stadium was officially renamed Truist Park. This followed a merger between SunTrust and another financial services company, BB&T.
