The House of the First Printing Press in the Americas, located at the corner of Moneda and Licenciado Primo Verdad streets in Mexico City, holds historical significance as the home of the first printing press/print shop in the New World. This landmark is a testament to the evolution of print media and its influence on society and culture.
Today, the House of the First Printing Press in the Americas serves a dual purpose. It is the Continuing Education Center for the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), housing various exhibition rooms, a bookstore, and facilities for conferences and courses. In 2008, the Book Museum opened here, showcasing some of the oldest books in Mexico.
