Visitors appreciate the free admission and the opportunity to explore both the interior and exterior of this important government building.

Inside, the Capitol impresses with its grand rotunda, ornate chambers, and well-preserved historical details. I am a docent at the Utah State Capitol. I meet folks from all over the world. Every time I give a tour I find myself loving each location.

Our architect, Richard Kletting, was an exceptional designer, he was devoted to natural resource. It is a credit to that devotion, in how he uses light to encompass all parts of government in the rotunda level.

Use of marble, metal and terra cotta give the capitol its magnificence. Don't miss the changing historical displays that grace the third and fourth levels.

Take a tour with a docent or discover parts of the capitol on a self-guided visit. You'll love it.
