The Fisheries and Cultural History Museum grew out of the initiative of a group of enthusiastic residents of Woudrichem. They started collecting historical material about river fishing. In a few years, so much material was gathered that it was decided to set up a museum. The collection provides an almost complete overview of Dutch river fishing. In separate sections, the various fishing techniques are shown using models and photographs. There are original fishing boats on display and numerous utensils.
