Unfortunately, the West Wales Museum of Childhood is no longer open to the public. The extensive collection that was once housed in the museum has been relocated to Wisbech in Cambridgeshire. Visitors interested in exploring this collection will need to plan a visit to this new location.
The West Wales Museum of Childhood was home to more than 10,000 items, displayed across five galleries. The exhibits included a wide range of items such as toys, dolls, model trains, model cars, teddy bears, toy soldiers, costumes, pinball machines, games, a period schoolroom, and household items. This diverse collection offered a comprehensive look into the past.
Although the West Wales Museum of Childhood is no longer open, photos of some of the exhibits can still be viewed on the People's Collection Wales website. This online resource provides a virtual glimpse into the museum's collection, allowing those interested to explore the exhibits from the comfort of their own home.
