The Western Colorado Botanical Gardens and Butterfly House is a beautiful 15-acre site located on the bank of the Colorado River. It is situated at the southern end of 7th Street in Grand Junction, Colorado, United States. This location offers a serene environment for visitors to explore and enjoy the beauty of nature.
The Gardens now feature a butterfly house and an adjacent 4,000 sq ft greenhouse with an indoor tropical rainforest. This greenhouse is home to over 600 orchids and other tropical plants from around the world, providing a unique and diverse botanical experience for visitors.
A variety of outdoor gardens have been developed and/or planned at the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens. These include a Cactus and Succulent Garden, Children's Secret Garden, Harmony In Color Garden, International Garden, Native Garden, Seasonal Xeric Garden, and Sensory Garden. Each of these gardens offers a unique theme and plant collection, providing a diverse range of experiences for visitors.
