The Wiener Tramwaymuseum boasts a collection of over 100 historical vehicles, with nearly 30 of them still operational. The collection spans all eras of Vienna's tram, city railway, and former trolleybus history, providing a comprehensive overview of the city's public transport evolution.
The Wiener Tramwaymuseum is currently housed in one of the former Semperit halls in Traiskirchen, Lower Austria. This relocation was necessitated when the previous location in Erdberg was returned to the Wiener Linien. The new location provides ample space for the museum's extensive collection.
In addition to its impressive collection, the Wiener Tramwaymuseum also organizes special tram rides through Vienna, offering a unique way to explore the city. The entire collection, which includes historical vehicles from the WTM, VEF, and Wiener Linien, is under monument protection, underscoring its cultural and historical significance.
