Laeken is a residential district in the north of Brussels, Belgium. The area is particularly known for being home to the Royal Palace of Laeken, the official residence of the Belgian Royal Family since the 19th century. The district features significant architectural heritage, including the Church of Our Lady of Laeken, where many members of the Belgian royal family are buried.

The area gained prominence when King Leopold I established his residence here in 1831. Beyond its royal connections, Laeken is also known for its cultural landmarks such as the Atomium, constructed for the 1958 Brussels World's Fair, and the Royal Greenhouses of Laeken, which open to the public for a few weeks each spring. The district combines historical significance with modern urban development, featuring both residential neighborhoods and cultural institutions.
