Free museums in Vatican City

The Sacristy of St. Peter's Basilica is a significant part of the Vatican City, located on the southern side of the basilica. It is an integral part of the basilica's structure and houses the sacristies of the Canons, Beneficiaries, and the Common Sacristy. A part of the structure also hosts the Treasure of St. Peter.

The Museo Pio-Clementino houses an ancient Roman sculpture known as the Hermes. This piece is a significant part of the Vatican collections in Rome. The sculpture was long admired as the Belvedere Antinous due to its prominent placement in the Cortile del Belvedere. However, it is now recognized as a representation of Hermes, a familiar Praxitelean type.
