Exhibition 'Buiten kijken' in MOW I Museum Westerwolde
Nearly 30 artists from AKKA, the alumni association of the Classical Academy, bring the feeling of Groningen to life in the new exhibition Buiten kijken (Looking Outside).
Looking Outside
Heavy clay, vibrant rapeseed, swaying grain, still waters, and distant horizons. Traces of hard labor on the land and scenes around the yard and home. Stories about people and landscapes that transport you back in time. Some artists depict the beautiful Groningen countryside as we know it so well, while others turn that familiar image completely on its head.
AKKA
At the Classical Academy in Groningen, artists learn to combine traditional craftsmanship with a modern perspective, leaving plenty of room for innovation.
