Exhibition 'ECHO' in Elleboogkerk
The artist Stephen Dean created the installation ECHO (2026) especially for the Elleboogkerk. Dean is known for using special glass in his enormous ladder sculptures. Ladders that allow light to pass through and project colour spots onto the floor and wall, as well as reflect light, so that the glass itself becomes a colour surface. In this way, he creates dynamic art installations that look different every time.
Throughout the day, a panel of colour changes between each rung in response to the light and the viewing angle. Surfaces reflect and project colour onto walls and into the air; nothing moves, yet everything changes.
