Celebrate an Egyptian summer vacation

Step back thousands of years into the wonderful world of Egyptian pharaohs, pyramids, gods and hieroglyphics. This summer do the Funky Pharaoh Family Route in the Kemet exhibition, take the Summer School Egypt, or roll up your sleeves in the children's exhibition In Search of Tutankhamun. And there is Kemet workshop every day in the Temple Hall, where you can make all kinds of things. Will you celebrate this Egyptian summer vacation with us?

Funky Pharaoh Family Route
Do the Funky Pharaoh Family Route: look, listen and discover in the museum how Pharaoh Tutankhamun, his father Pharaoh Akhenaten and Queen Nefertiti inspired modern artists and musicians. To do so, visit the exhibition Kemet - Egypt in hip-hop, jazz, soul & funk. (from 7 years of age)

Kemet studio
Do you feel like getting creative yourself after visiting the exhibitions? Then visit the Kemet workshop and design a record sleeve, clothing or jewelry. (from 7 years of age)

In search of Tutankhamun
Watch out for sleuths! Roll up your sleeves, decipher hieroglyphs and crack the codes. In the children's exhibition Looking for Tutankhamun you will meet the gods of the Egyptian kingdom of the dead. Who knows, you might find the hidden tomb of Tutankhamun - the most famous pharaoh in the world - and find out in the laboratory what he once looked like. (from 7 years of age)

Sparkling light show
The museum's more than two hundred years of history come to life three times a day in a dazzling light show. This is projected onto the real Egyptian temple in the entrance hall of the museum. I
n the summer vacations, a version especially for children runs at 1:30 pm. A version for all ages runs at 11:30 and an English version at 15:30. All performances last four minutes.
