Exhibition 'Museum in the classroom' in Valkhof Museum
Renovating a museum is a big job. As well as doing all the construction work, we had to store a lot of ancient objects and art. And you obviously cannot store everything in piles of moving boxes in a little attic somewhere. Just thinking about it made everybody in the museum extremely nervous. Imagine: building dust, valuable artefacts and nervous museum staff. A terrible combination. Thankfully, we received help from nine primary schools in Nijmegen. They looked after our collection for a few months. And let’s face it, while doing this you might as well create your own pieces. Here we are showing the beautiful results. How is that for a deal?
