Exhibition 'Train Journey' in EnterTRAINment Junction
Our Train Journey is one of the world's largest model train displays! It is a walk through three different time periods of railroading history starting with the 1800, moving to the 1940s-1960s, and then ending in our Modern Era. Along the way, you'll find 25,000 sq. ft. of scenery through which 2 miles of track winds for over 90 G scale train models! A day/night cycle of lights and sounds sets the scene as you move along, and buttons throughout the attraction trigger all sorts of surprises from moving trains in the display to initiating ambient sound effects. This attraction also boasts a large, interactive kids' play area called Imagination Junction. There, kids can climb and play through a giant soft-play structure, play within a wooden train playset, and utilize numerous train tables - there's even a special section just for kids 3 and under! Our Train Journey also includes a miniature replica of Coney Island the Amusement park as it was in its heyday of the 1960s, complete with buttons to make each ride go! This display is found in our mezzanine, where guests can get a breathtaking bird's eye view of the whole layout! Our Expo Center, found in the modern era, hosts many different rotating attractions - from Neil Young's personal touring Lionel train layout and the world's largest private collection of marbles, to a spooky trick-or-treat walkthrough maze, to craft fairs and other private events - this room has seen it all!
