The Albertina in Vienna houses one of the largest print rooms in the world, and used to be the biggest Habsburg residential palace, inhabited by one of Maria Theresa's daughters. The collection, which started in 1776, boasts over a million prints and tens of thousands of paintings dating all the way back to the 15th century. The collection includes pieces from the all over the world by recognised artists such as Picasso, Rembrandt, Leonardo da Vinci, Monet, Degas and others. Furthermore it is possible to visit 20 authentic palace rooms, and see how some of the Habsburgs used to live both in their ceremonial and private lives.

    Albertina one of the biggest and most affluent collectors, museum. It is somewhat more expensive then any other museum but then somebody need to pay the bills... Most shocking, in their "remix" exhibition at the Albertina modern, not only that the curators could not bother do their part by giving new light or interpretation to the work. Liturgy just hanged work according to artist with no meaning or ideas. Furthermore showing a photo of an important painter, waving his signature in the middle of the picture, is not cool. It is idiotic ! I wish such an important and wealthy institution will hire people that are capable of thinking. That their thinking skills are worthy sharing with others on a professional level.

    We had a lovely visit to the Albrtina in Vienna. The museum exhibits paintings of the most famous European artists from the last hundreds of years. When we visited there was a Monet exhibit with some of his lesser known and later works. Very interesting indeed! If there is no special exhibition, you can still see the regular collection and the staterooms, which we enjoyed a lot as well!
