The Schönbrunn Zoo (Tiergarten Schönbrunn, Vienna Zoo) is a zoo in Vienna that is considered to be the oldest surviving zoo in the world. The zoo was founded in 1752 and is located in the gardens of the former Schönbrunn Imperial Palace in Vienna. The eye-catchers of the Vienna Zoo are the giant pandas that have been on display in Schönbrunn for a number of years. Furthermore it includes a reptile house, a bird house, a European forest area, a farm with old pet breeds, an accommodation for polar animals, an accommodation for predators, and an accommodation for mountain animals.
