The AACA Museum, located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of American automobiles. Despite its name, it is not affiliated with the Antique Automobile Club of America. The museum is home to a vast collection of over 130 cars, buses, motorcycles, and automobile collectibles displayed in themed settings from different eras ranging from the 1890s to the 1980s.
One of the major highlights of the AACA Museum is the Cammack Tucker Collection, which is the world's most extensive collection of Tucker automobiles. In addition to this, the museum also houses the Museum of Bus Transportation collection, showcasing a variety of classic buses.
In 2013, MSNBC recognized the AACA Museum as one of the 12 car museums in the USA worth a detour. This recognition underscores the museum's significance and its contribution to preserving the history of American automobiles.

DONATING? a) just make sure you indicate that you want distilled water placed in the battery and not bottled water in your donated vehicle. b) that the mechanics use appropriate manuals and not go by memory. c) confirm with the museum that they will take appropriate care of items they purchase (see photo)
LOANING? a) make sure you document any damage (chips, dents, scratches, rubs, etc.) b) confirm that your battery will be connected properly, so that the terminals are not reversed and damages the battery or the vehicle electrical components.
VOLUNTEERING? a) don’t think you can help as a mechanic, unless you are accepted by the group, no matter what your mechanical ability b) for sure don’t ask any questions (should we be using a manual? Isn’t there a special tool for that? doesn’t a seal go there?, should I be straightening up the barriers?), they will think you don’t know or are telling them what to do
note: I worked as a volunteer from January through April, detailing cars, general cleaning, picking up trash around the facility, moving cars, and helping/supporting work on cars.
