Hershey Gardens Reviews

Hershey Gardens has 1 rating.

  • Apollo's Insights AI-Generated

Hershey Gardens offers a pleasant outdoor experience for nature lovers and garden enthusiasts. Located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, this 23-acre botanical garden provides visitors with a variety of floral displays and themed gardens. The rose garden, featuring over 3,500 roses of 275 varieties, is a highlight for many visitors, especially during peak blooming seasons.

The Butterfly Atrium is another popular attraction, allowing guests to observe numerous species of butterflies in a tropical setting. This indoor space is particularly enjoyable during colder months or inclement weather. The Children's Garden offers interactive features that engage younger visitors, making it a good destination for families.

While many visitors appreciate the well-maintained grounds and diverse plant collections, some have noted that the experience can be somewhat brief compared to larger botanical gardens. The admission price is considered reasonable by most, but a few visitors have mentioned that it might be a bit high for the size of the gardens.

The seasonal displays, such as the tulip garden in spring and the Christmas light show in winter, add variety and reasons for repeat visits. However, some guests have reported that certain areas of the garden can feel less impressive during off-peak seasons.

Overall, Hershey Gardens provides a serene and educational experience for those interested in horticulture and nature. While it may not be as extensive as some other botanical gardens, its connection to the Hershey story and the combination of outdoor gardens with the indoor butterfly atrium offer a unique blend of attractions.
