The Art Museum of Cluj-Napoca is housed in a baroque building built between 1774 - 1775 that was designed by German architect Johann Eberhard Blaumann. The art museum houses art pieces by many important Romanian artists, including Nicolae Grigorescu, Ştefan Luchian, Dimitrie Paciurea, Theodor Pallady and Camil Ressu. Besides its Romanian collection, the Art Museum of Cluj-Napoca also holds many artworks from Hungarian painters and some by international artists.
