The Benlliure House-Museum is a site of cultural interest, located at 23 Blanquerías Street, in the Carmen neighborhood of Valencia. This location is easily accessible and is situated in a vibrant part of the city, making it a convenient stop for tourists exploring Valencia.
The main building of the Benlliure House-Museum, designed by Vicente Miguel Viñuelas, consists of three floors. The ground floor recreates different domestic rooms, decorated with works from various family members and contemporary artists such as Joaquín Sorolla and Muñoz Degraín, as well as unique artists like Santiago Rusiñol. This offers visitors a glimpse into the artistic and personal life of the Benlliure family.
At the back of the Benlliure House-Museum, visitors can find a preserved Mediterranean garden with a romantic aesthetic. The garden features tile panels, sculptures, and a diverse and colorful decoration. At the end of the garden, there is a painting and study pavilion of the artist, decorated with period furniture, musical instruments, tapestries, and other various objects. Some works of José Benlliure, preserved by the family, can also be found here.
