Le château du Sailhant is a historical monument located in the commune of Andelat, in the Cantal region of France. It is situated about ten kilometers from the town of Saint-Flour. The castle is built on a triangular basaltic spur, standing about 20 to 25 meters high. This unique geographical feature contributes to the castle's distinctive architecture and defensive capabilities.

The Sailhant Waterfall Near Le château du Sailhant

One of the notable features near Le château du Sailhant is the Sailhant waterfall, also known as Babory. The waterfall is formed by the Babory stream falling about twenty meters into a chasm that is estimated to be between 6 and 7 meters deep. This natural attraction is not only a sight to behold but is also the source of many local legends, adding to the allure of the castle and its surroundings.
