Diamondmuseum Bruges is housed in a 17th-century mansion. In the museum, visitors discover how diamond polishing was developed by the Bruges goldsmith Lodewijk van Berquem, in the period of the Dukes of Burgundy, long before Amsterdam or Antwerp. The museum covers diamond processing, including clieving, sawing and polishing. Every day at 12:15, a polishing demonstration takes place, explaining the techniques of diamond polishing.
