The Ghent Gate is one of the four remaining city gates of Bruges. It is part of the second city wall built in 1297. Together with the Katelijnepoort and the Kruispoort, the gate was built in the early 15th century by Jan van Oudenaerde. The building houses the museum, where you can see how the city and its ramparts slowly grew and how important city gates were for medieval Bruges in wartime....
