The Giuseppe Mazzotti Manifattura Ceramiche is a ceramic manufacturer that was established in 1903 by Giuseppe Bausin Mazzotti. It is located in Albissola Marina, a town in the province of Savona in Liguria. The company has a rich history and has been passed down through generations of the Mazzotti family.
Today, Giuseppe Mazzotti Manifattura Ceramiche continues to produce majolica ceramics in the traditional Albisola style. They also continue the production of Futurist editions that were first made in the 1930s. In addition, the company collaborates with artists and designers to create unique and sought-after designs, making use of the technical skills that the manufacture has to offer.
Albisola, once known for its production of terracotta pots in the 19th century, underwent a transformation in the 20th century to become the world capital of ceramic art. A significant landmark in the town is the Lungomare degli artisti, inaugurated on August 10, 1963. This unique and extraordinary 800-meter-long walkable strip separates the beach from the houses overlooking the sea and features an uninterrupted mosaic designed by various artists, including Lucio Fontana.
