The UNESCO Global Geopark of Granada is a significant part of the UNESCO geopark network. It is situated in the southeast of Spain, specifically in the province of Granada. The geopark spans an impressive area of 4,722 km², covering the regions of Guadix, Baza, and Huéscar. This vast expanse offers a diverse range of geological, geomorphological, and paleontological features for visitors to explore.
In addition to its natural features, the UNESCO Global Geopark of Granada is also known for its historical, artistic, and cultural heritage. The area is home to cave dwellings that have been inhabited since the Middle Ages.
