The Hayward Area Historical Society opened a new facility in 2014. In addition to this, the society operates the Meek Mansion and McConaghy House in collaboration with the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District. They also manage the San Lorenzo Pioneer Cemetery in partnership with Alameda County. These sites offer a glimpse into the area's past and are significant historical landmarks.
