The Brick House was generously donated to the County of Orange on December 26, 1975. It was subsequently listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 5, 1978, and officially opened its doors as a museum on June 22, 1978. This recognition and transformation into a museum have allowed the Brick House to be preserved and shared with the public, offering a unique insight into the region's history.
The Brick House and the adjacent Orange County Farmers' Museum are open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekends, from mid-May to early October, though the exact dates may vary each year. The admission fee is $3 for adults and $2 for children, making it an affordable and educational outing for families and history enthusiasts alike.
