House of Comics and its collection

The Château de Blois, located in the department of Loir-et-Cher in the Loire Valley, is a significant historical site. It served as the residence for several Kings of France and holds the distinction of being the place where Joan of Arc received her blessing from the Archbishop of Reims in 1429 before she set off to battle the English in Orléans.

Château de Blois as a Tourist Attraction

Following the French Revolution, the Château de Blois was abandoned for over 130 years. It was eventually restored and transformed into a museum in 1841 under the direction of Louis Philippe I. Today, the palace is owned by the city of Blois and serves as one of its major tourist attractions.
