This city is the capital of the province bearing the same name, located in the community of Castilla y Leรณn. The church is a significant religious site and a notable landmark in the city.
According to local tradition, Saint Peter Regalado, the patron saint of Valladolid, was baptized in this church in 1390. The baptismal font where this significant event took place is still preserved in the church, adding to its historical and religious importance.
One of the most notable features of the Church of the Holy Savior is an exceptional Flemish triptych, dated around 1502. This remarkable piece of art is located in the chapel dedicated to Saint John the Baptist, which was completed in 1492. The triptych adds a significant artistic value to the church.
