The Dinosaur Museum features over 30 skeletons, rare fossils (including fossilized dinosaur skin), and life‐size replicas, plus a geological timeline exhibit, a working paleontology laboratory where guests can watch specimens being prepared, and a U-Dig fossil area where children and adults alike can dig for real bones. The South Bend Chocolate Company adds a deeper learning layer—tours and museum exhibits teach the history of chocolate, its origins, and the manufacturing process, with free samples along the way.

If you're looking for a fun and educational outing in Indiana, the Dinosaur Museum is an absolute must-visit! Our family had an amazing time exploring this hidden gem. The museum is packed with impressive displays, including full-scale dinosaur skeletons, fossils, and informative exhibits that make the world of dinosaurs come alive.
What stood out most was the museum's ability to cater to all ages. Our kids had a blast with the interactive exhibits—there were plenty of hands-on activities, like fossil digging stations and augmented reality experiences that let them "discover" dinosaurs. The adults, on the other hand, enjoyed the detailed exhibits, which covered everything from the Triassic period to the age of the T. rex. It’s a great place for anyone interested in paleontology or just curious about prehistoric life.
The museum is small but well-organized, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They even offer guided tours if you're looking for a more in-depth experience. We also appreciated the gift shop, which had tons of fun dinosaur-themed souvenirs for kids and adults alike.
Overall, the Indiana Dinosaur Museum is a fantastic spot for families, school groups, or anyone with a fascination for dinosaurs. It’s not too big, so you can easily explore it in a couple of hours, but it’s packed with enough cool exhibits to make it a memorable visit. Highly recommend it!
