Margate Museum and its collection

Margate Museum is situated in the vibrant Old Town. The building itself was once the town magistrates court and gaol and boasts many original features. The Museum’s collection documents the history of Margate through objects and photographs. From innovative health care in the 1700’s then the town’s seaside resort heyday, Margate boasts a rich history much of which is documented in the Museums collection.
