The Massena Museum (Musée Masséna) is a state museum in Nice. that has since 1921 been displaying art from the Belle Époque, as well as regional art and history of the Côte d'Azur. In the Masséna Museum, painting, sculpture, arts and crafts, Belle Epoque furniture and furnishings are on display on two floors. Special items include the death mask of Napoleon Bonaparte, and the pearl diadem of Napoleon's first wife. Large paintings, including patriotic seascapes, battle scenes, sculptures and the book Côte d'Azur, handwritten by Stéphen Liégeard, are on display. Furthermore there are temporary exhibitions of modern art and local history
