The Menkemaborg is a borg in Groningen of which the oldest part dates back to the 14th century. It illustrates life in the 18th century. The rooms are decorated with silver, brass, porcelain, furniture and various portraits from the 17th and 18th century. Between the canals are gardens, including the sundial garden where the shadow of the wooden pointer indicates the time in the 18th century.
