The Middelheimmuseum is an open air museum with some 400 works of art. It provides an international overview of modern and contemporary art in the park, ‘Het Huis’, ‘het Kasteel’ and the ‘Braempaviljoen’. Among others, the museum displays works by Carl Andre, Jean Arp, Wim Delvoye, Alberto Giacometti, Henry Moore, Juan Muñoz, Panamarenko, Auguste Rodin, Franz West, Rik Wouters and Erwin Wurm. There are approximately 215 sculptures.

Het Middelheimmuseum is een prachtig openluchtmuseum. Je kunt je hier de hele middag vermaken want het park (dat an sich al een bezoek waard is) is enorm. Zowel de vaste collectie als de groepstentoonstelling die te zien was toen ik het museum bezocht (POM’ PO PON PO PON PON POM PON. EEN DWARSE FORMATIE VAN SCULPTUREN) waren erg indrukwekkend. Bij een bezoek aan Antwerpen mag je dit museum zeker niet overslaan!
