Mim - Musical instruments museum has 3 ratings.
The Musical Instruments Museum (MIM) in Brussels is a highly regarded attraction that offers visitors an extensive collection of musical instruments from around the world. Located in a beautiful Art Nouveau building, the museum's architecture is often praised as part of the overall experience.
The museum's collection is impressive, featuring over 7,000 instruments, which many visitors find both educational and entertaining. The audio guide, which allows visitors to listen to the sounds of various instruments, is frequently mentioned as a highlight, enhancing the interactive nature of the exhibits.
Many reviewers appreciate the well-organized layout of the museum, which typically takes visitors through different floors, each dedicated to a specific type or era of instruments. The top floor, housing a restaurant with panoramic views of Brussels, is often cited as a pleasant surprise and a nice way to end the visit.
While the majority of visitors find the museum engaging, some mention that it can be overwhelming due to the sheer number of instruments on display. A few reviewers note that more context or historical information about the instruments would be beneficial.
The museum's location in the Mont des Arts area is convenient for tourists, as it's close to other attractions in Brussels. However, some visitors mention that the entry fee is a bit high, especially for those not deeply interested in musical instruments.
Overall, the Mim - Musical Instruments Museum is well-received for its comprehensive collection, interactive elements, and the unique experience it offers to music enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. It's generally considered a worthwhile stop for those interested in music history or looking for a different museum experience in Brussels.

This museum has an incredible large collection of music instruments and is housed in a very nice building. However the information they provide about the instruments is a bit poor which makes it boring(for me personally at least).
