The Natural Science Museum of Belgium has a large collection of about 36 million pieces, of which fifteen million insects and nine million other invertebrates. In addition, the museum displays minerals and moon rocks, dinosaurs and mammoths, whale skeletons, shells and the Neanderthal man Spy. Special in the collection are the 30 complete copies of the iguanodons of Bernissart.

During Belgian school holidays (which are at least a week long) and weekend: tue-sun 10-18u.
- The last entry is at 15.30 from Tuesday to Friday and at 16.30 on Saturday and Sunday and during the Belgian school holidays. On the 24th and 31st of December, the Museum will close at 15.00.
- The Museum is closed on the 25th of December, 1st of January, and 1st of May.
Consult the dates of the Belgian school holidays.
- The library is open from Monday to Friday, between 9:00 and 12:00 and between 13:30 and 16:00. It is closed on national holidays and between Christmas and the New Year.
