The building that houses the Municipal Museum of Alcázar de San Juan is a 16th-century palace made of reddish stone with ashlars. It was declared a Bien de Interés Cultural, a cultural property of Spain, in 1991. The palace also features its own hermitage, which was built by order of Don Diego Sanabria in 1664.
