The Musée archéologique de Civaux is a museum located in the commune of Civaux in the Vienne department. It has been open to the public since March 2004. The museum is situated in the heart of the commune, near the RN147 and on the edge of the Vienne river. It is located opposite the early Christian and Romanesque church of the village.
The Musée archéologique de Civaux presents a wide range of objects from prehistory to the end of the Middle Ages. These exhibits allow visitors to understand the archaeological and historical sites of the commune, particularly the Merovingian necropolis. The museum's collections include several thousand objects ranging from prehistory to the early Renaissance.
The Musée archéologique de Civaux offers a variety of educational activities and events centered around the heritage of the commune and its archaeological collections. These include guided or free tours of the sites, treasure hunts for both children and adults, and visits in Roman costume for children. The museum also has an educational service that can accommodate groups of children, school groups, or children who are in leisure centers.

High season: from 1 July to 31 August: every day from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Winter closure: from December 2, 2024 to April 2025: visitors (individuals and groups) are welcomed by appointment.
