The Musée du Président Jacques Chirac, commonly referred to as the President's Museum, is situated in the town of Sarran. This location is in the southeast of the Monédières massif, within the Corrèze department. It is approximately 30 kilometers northeast of Tulle. The museum is easily accessible and offers a unique insight into the life and work of former French President Jacques Chirac.
The Musée du Président Jacques Chirac is home to a collection of objects that were presented to Jacques Chirac during his time as the President of the French Republic. These items offer a unique glimpse into the diplomatic relations and cultural exchanges of his presidency. The museum was inaugurated on December 15, 2000, by Jacques Chirac himself.
In addition to the main collection, the Musée du Président Jacques Chirac also features a library with 12,000 volumes, located in a converted barn. The museum has seen an increase in visitors in recent years, with numbers reaching around 50,000 annually. Notably, the museum attracted 62,000 visitors in 2010 during the Dior exhibition.
