The Museo de los Pueblos Leoneses, previously known as the Museo Etnográfico Provincial de León, is a cultural center situated in the town of Mansilla de las Mulas in León, Spain. This museum is dedicated to the preservation, study, and dissemination of both tangible and intangible ethnographic heritage from all regions of León.
The museum is housed in the former Convent of San Agustín, in a new building that was designed by the architect Mariano Sáenz de Miera. The design respects the structure of the old monastery, providing a unique blend of old and new architecture that adds to the overall experience of visiting the museum.
The museum houses approximately 7000 pieces of ethnographic material culture from León. These are distributed among the 1200 items displayed across three floors of the building, with the rest of the collection stored in the basement. This extensive collection provides a comprehensive insight into the region's cultural heritage.
